History of company

Dansk Company was founded in 1933 by Mads Clausen in Nordberg, Denmark and the company name was changed to Danfoss in 1946. This company initially started its commercial activity with the production of refrigeration expansion valves, and then in 1952, it expanded its product line by manufacturing refrigerator compressors. Expansion into other countries started in 1949 with the first sales company in Argentina. In 1958 first outside danfoss production line started in Germany. 

Company today

Today, Danfoss with more than 40,000 employees and having 72 factories in more than 20 countries is one of the leading companies in HAVC, refrigeration and other industrial power fields.
In order to look for further extension the business, Danfoss also has acquired some brands such as Vacon, Sondex, White Drive, Visedo, Maneurope, Eaton and etc. In 2021, with the Eaton acquisition, Danfoss Power Solution became a global leader in mobile and industrial hydraulics and increased number of employees and variety of products.

Classification of company activities

Danfoss main activity is divided to three fields; Power Solutions, Climate Solutions and Drives.

• Danfoss complete products categories in Power Solutions are included clutches and brakes, cylinders, electric converters and machines, tubing, fitting and connectors, hydraulic power units, motors, pumps, steering, valve and actuators. 
• In Drives section, Danfoss presence Low –voltage, Medium-voltage, Decentral and Enclosed drives, Harmonic mitigation filters, Motion control and servo drives, Soft starter and other Electrical components too.
• In cooling and heating fields, as named Climate Solution, Danfoss manufactures compressors, valves, electronic controllers, condensing units, sensors and switches, filters, heat exchangers, appliance controls, radiators, thermostats, stations and domestic hot water, underfloor heating, burner components and etc.

The position of the company in the global market

Danfoss production lines are located on countries such as Denmark, France, Germany, America, Poland, China, Slovakia, Mexico and etc. Thanks to latest technology and using the most advanced production machines, a wide global marketing and sales network, a large part of it meets the needs of the market. America, China and Germany are among Danfoss' main markets. The sales amount of this company in 2021 was more than 7.5 billion euros.
